Overview

A Written Implementation & Recovery Runbook describes the approved BackupGuard scope, recovery priorities, procedures, contacts, dependencies, and decision points for the covered environment. Guardian includes initial development, an annual review, and updates after significant changes. The document is provided once per client environment within the scope defined in the Service Order.

• Developing a written runbook tailored to your environment, backup configuration, and recovery priorities.
• Documenting supported backup and recovery procedures, dependencies, and step-by-step actions.
• Identifying recovery priorities (which systems and data sets to restore first).
• Listing contacts, escalation paths, and decision points.
• Reviewing the runbook annually, updating it after significant changes, and reviewing it with the customer team.
